2023-12-05 - Upgrading PHP to 8.1

Our web server is still running an old version of PHP. We are currently having issues with it including crashing the web server process. As a result we will be upgrading to 8.1 shortly.

Please note that if you have a shell account (no charge - you just have to ask for it) then you can copy your site there and run it under PHP 8.1 to see if anything is broken. You just need to use a different URL to run it. The URL is something like this:

https://shell.vex.net/~/

Replace "" with your own login name.

If you need to see what errors and deprecation warnings you are getting you can have your web logs sent to you daily. Just go to the control panel and look for "Features" under "User". Select "Web Log Processing" and make sure that you check the "Email log after rotation" checkbox.
