2016-07-29 - Stopping Spammers - Closing a loop hole

This concerns our clients who will send emails directly to people on other servers (such as Rogers, or Google) from their web site.

From now on you will be required to send all email through our SMTP server which is mail.Vex.Net. If it is destined for someone outside of Vybe then after August 31 2016 you must use port 587 and authenticate before sending.

We are insisting on this because it is really easy for spammers to access your website email connections. When the spam goes through our servers, we can often catch it. When it doesn't go through our servers, then other email providers will stop all of our emails from going to them - legitimate or not.

Note that if you are only sending email to your own Vybe account then you do not need to change anything.

If you need help with the settings please contact us at support@VybeNetworks.com

Good Words
from our Clients

I first began using Vybe Networks, formerly Vex.Net, before the beginning of time, i.e. sometime in the 1990s.

They have hosted my websites and offered other services. Not only have I never had a problem, but their customer service is personal and responsive. And their prices are reasonable.

It may sound like a cliché to say that they are reliable, good and affordable. But that's exactly what they are.
