2012-11-04 - New feature on Vex.Phone

We have added a new feature to our Vex.Phone service. Up to now you have been able to put your cell number into the control panel to have your phone ring both your VoIP line and, after a short delay, your cell. Whichever one picks up the line "wins" the call.

We have now added a second number to everyone's service. This is a special number that cannot be reached from outside (it is a 999 area code) but you can use it to register in a softphone on your smartphones such as iPhone or Android. If this number is registered it replaces whatever is in the cell phone field. The idea here is to allow you to pick up your calls for free if you are wifi connected with fallback to your cellphone if not.
