.. $Id$ ===================== Master User Functions ===================== Master (group leader) accounts have access to additional menus not available to regular users. The **Account** menu appears for all master accounts. The **Client** menu appears for the primary billing contact (the account that was set up first for the client). Account Menu ++++++++++++ Add New User ------------ Users represent individual mailboxes within your account group. Each user has their own login, password, email address, and access to Vybe features. To add a user, enter the following information: - **Username** (alias) — the virtual-domain mailbox name, if your account has a domain attached. For example, entering ``joe`` with domain ``example.com`` creates the address ``joe@example.com``. Must start with a letter and may contain letters, numbers, periods, underscores, and hyphens. - **Public name** — the name shown on outgoing email from this user. - **Forward to** — an optional internal address to forward all mail received by this user. Only internal Vybe domains are accepted. - **Password** — enter the new password twice to confirm. Passwords must be at least six characters and should mix upper-case and lower-case letters, numbers, and the characters ``.-_``. - **Mailing list** — whether the user is subscribed to the Vybe.News announcement list, the Vybe.Rant discussion list, or neither. You can also enable or disable a user account with the "User Enabled" checkbox when editing an existing user. Disabled accounts cannot log in but their data is retained. To change a sub-user's password you must enter your own password in the "Old password" field. Forward Web Site ---------------- This page lets you redirect all web requests for your domain(s) to another URL or IP address. Enter the full destination URL, including ``http://`` or ``https://``, in the text field. If Vybe is serving DNS for your domain you may also enter a bare IP address; we will update the DNS record accordingly. Clear the field and submit to remove the forwarding. This setting has no effect if Vybe is not serving any domains for your account. Email Aliases ------------- Email aliases let you create additional addresses in your virtual domain(s) that deliver to any mailbox. For example, you can create ``info@example.com`` and have it delivered to any user on the system. The alias listing shows each alias name and its destination. Click an alias to edit it, or use the "Add new alias" menu link to create one. Each alias has: - **Name** — the local part of the address (the part before the ``@``). - **Destination** — the mailbox or address where mail is delivered. Client Menu +++++++++++ The Client menu is available only to the primary billing contact for a client account. Add New Account --------------- If you manage more than one service group (for example, a separate group for each of several domains), you can add additional groups here. Provide: - **Short name** — a single word up to 16 characters, starting with a letter, used as the internal identifier for the group. - **Description** — an optional longer name shown in the control panel, on invoices, and in the account selector. If left blank the short name is used. - **Account type** — the type of hosting service for this group. Select "Non-hosting" if the group is only used for domain ordering. After the account is created you will be directed to a confirmation page. If the account type includes hosting, a first user is created automatically; follow the link on that page to set its password. Make Payment ------------ This page lets you pay outstanding invoices by credit card. If you have only one unpaid invoice it is selected automatically. If you have several, a list is presented with checkboxes; check the invoices you want to pay and click "Pay selected items", or click "Pay all items" to pay everything outstanding. On the next screen you will see the total and a form to enter your credit card details: - **Card holder** — name as it appears on the card. - **Credit card number** - **Card expiry** — month and year. - **CVD** — the three- or four-digit security code on the card. After submitting, wait for the charge to be processed. A confirmation page will display the authorization code and a list of the invoices paid. Print this page for your records. Modify Credit Card ------------------ Use this page to add or update the credit card used for automatic monthly billing. Your existing card details are not displayed for security reasons. Enter: - **Card holder** — name as it appears on the card. - **Card number** - **Card expiry** — month and year. This page is distinct from "Make payment": it stores your card for ongoing automatic charges rather than processing a one-time payment. Modify Client Info ------------------ This page holds the billing contact information for your client record. Keep it up to date so that invoices and important notices reach you. Fields include first and last name, billing email address, mailing address, city, province/state, postal or zip code, and up to four phone numbers (primary, secondary, fax, and mobile). Last name is required. Billing History --------------- Displays a complete transaction history for your account, including all invoices, payments, credits, and adjustments. Each row shows: - **Invoice** — the invoice or voucher number, if applicable. - **Date** — the transaction date. - **Type** — the type of transaction (charge, payment, credit, etc.). - **Memo** — a short description. - **Debit / Credit** — the amount. Positive debits are shown in green; negative amounts (reversals) in red. - **Balance** — the running account balance after each transaction.
