2006.09.22 Greylisting added to Vex.Net

Over the last few days we have been hit pretty hard by spammers. Systems have slowed down and email has been clogged as a result. To alleviate this problem we have implemented "greylisting" on Vex.Net. You can find more information on this technology at http://www.greylisting.org/. There are two main effects of this change as far as you, the user, are concerned. First, the initial email from someone to you from a specific IP address will be delayed for at least one minute. Subsequent emails from the same person at the same address will flow normally. Second, there will be a dramatic reduction in the amount of spam you get. We have been testing this on an internal server and the results are nothing short of astonishing.
