2005.03.04 New Vex.Net Website

The latest incarnation of Vex.Net's web site is finally "here":http://www.Vex.Net. We wanted to create a lighter, faster loading, interface. We wanted to have a more flexible framework in order to more easily keep information updated. We wanted to be able to provide more useful information that may be of interest to our clients. Did we accomplish *any* of these things? You will be the judge. If you look, you will find now on the main www.Vex.Net page a summary of upcoming events of interest to some of our clients, as well as a summary of the latest Vex.Net announcements. No more having to go to a separate page to see updates. The entire site is now searchable. Our "hosting":http://www.Vex.Net/hosting/ services page has been cleaned up and simplified. The most common account types are presented now in a simple grid. The gory details are left to the bottom of the page. A few more of our services we have never really made widely known have been given space on the site. We haven't filled in too many of the details regarding some of these yet, but now that we have a place for them, more information will follow. Our "FAQ":http://www.Vex.Net/vexfaq/ (or FVQ, as we call it) has been converted to a new format. The info for the techies-among-us about installed packages has been revamped and organized. The people who chose to have their web sites listed in our list of hosted sites will find that at long last the listings link to their actual domain names (if you don't know what this means, don't worry about it)! It should be noted that there are a few cosmetic glitches still being worked out (mainly around listing tables in the "control panel" part of the site). We have some CSS conflicts to resolve there. These are not serious problems imparing the functionality of the site, however. The new site has been built with "Zope":http://www.zope.org and the "Plone":http://www.plone.org content management system. We are evolving some expertise with these systems, if anyone is looking for services in building sites with these tools. Thanks for your interest in the ongoing saga of Vex.Net, and having read this far!

Good Words
from our Clients

D'Arcy and the Vybe Networks team, under very tight deadlines and difficult circumstances, provided exceptional advice and support for our project. We are very pleased with the results of their efforts and would recommend Vybe to businesses and individuals seeking professional internet services.
