We have finally gotten word as to what has happened to the news. We are told that the old hardware was not coping (as many have noticed), and finally exausted completely it's disk space. Word is that it was taken down and a new server is being built for it with vastly expanded disk space and processing power. Word also has it that this should be done by now: but it doesn't seem to be. Keep trying. Sorry for the delay, but hopefully when all is said and done news will be more reliable in general here for a while (though even with our periodic problems, I think many agree that we are connected to one of the best news servers around), and it will have been worth the wait.
